Unleashing Leadership Potential
As a catalyst, I ignite the potential within leaders to fully harness their innate capabilities. By fostering an environment where self-awareness, clarity, and purpose align, I help leaders break through barriers that limit their effectiveness. I guide them in channeling their strengths and navigating challenges with confidence, enabling them to lead with authenticity and vision. Through this transformative process, leaders become more adaptable, resilient, and equipped to inspire and elevate those around them, driving meaningful impact in their organizations and beyond.
Let’s Get Personal
I began life just a few minutes from the fantasy of Disneyland, where I developed an early appreciation for the realities of the hard work my father’s small business demanded of him. My curiosity was insatiable. I often started asking my dad how things worked before the coffee was on. As a kid, I embraced my entrepreneurial instincts. I started mowing neighbors’ lawns at ten and managing a paper route at twelve. Before I left my teens, I had the good fortune to join a highly regarded multi-level sales organization where I used their sales and marketing training to successfully engage in direct sales and build a sales team. I consider it good fortune because it was in this affiliation that I learned the importance of mindset and that we can choose how we handle challenges and setbacks.
Guided by a mentor’s advice that accounting was a good degree to earn for understanding business, I pursued an accounting degree. Upon graduation, I joined one of the Big 4 accounting firms. The advice was validated through the invaluable insights into business operations I gained by working on the audits of a wide variety of organizations, and it continues to serve me in coaching my clients. However, a few years in I realized public accounting wasn’t my long-term path.
I earned my real estate license and transitioned to commercial real estate brokerage with the nation’s largest real estate services company. I continued to take classes in finance and real estate. After five years leasing high-rise office space, I qualified to transition to investment property sales. The combination of finance education and frontline leasing experience proved beneficial in successfully structuring investment property transactions. After five years of specializing in institutional transactions, I founded and operated a commercial real estate brokerage firm in my hometown of Pasadena, CA.
My real estate career was enriched by the guidance of senior real estate professionals and two dedicated business coaches. As I grew in the real estate industry, I found myself in the role of a mentor, guiding and coaching junior brokers. This natural progression led me to coach some real estate clients in their leadership development. Encouraged by one of my coaches, I left commercial real estate in 2008. I earned certifications in personality, temperament, and aptitude assessments, opening a new chapter as an all-in leadership coach. Today, I use my training and diverse experience to fortify and guide leaders in achieving their goals.
